C7 vs c9 bulb size. C7 bulbs are the smaller than c9s. All of the bulbs in these groups resemble the shape of a candle flame and are often referred to as candle bulbs. A c9 does not fit into a candelabra socket but has its own. The c7 lamp base size is different than the larger old fashioned christmas bulb which is called a c9 and is over three inches long.
