C10 Cat Engine Problems

Is a c10 caterpillar engine a good one.

C10 cat engine problems. 3408 cat this class 8 truck engine was strong was about 450 hp but truly put out around 550 hp. Cat c10 engine 335 hp o of 2001 sterling 9500 daycab eng. I can t start the engine when it s on and if it comes on when i m driving the engine quits running. I have a 1999 western star with a c10 cat engine there is a light on the dash that says data error.

Ive been running mine for 2 years with no problems gets better fuel mileage than the big blocks doing the same job im doing 140000 lb gross and has never left me stranded or caused me grief. In my opinion the 3406e engine is one of the best that cat has ever built and it was their first successful fully electronic engine.
